Regulatory status
Clear about where we are.
EnteleBANK is a planned UK banking project in development. It is not an authorised bank and is not currently in PRA/FCA pre-application or authorisation.
Current status
No banking authorisation application has been submitted. EnteleBANK is not currently authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) or the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to accept deposits or provide regulated banking services. No deposit-taking or other regulated banking activity requiring authorisation will begin unless and until the relevant authorisations and permissions have been obtained.
Sensitive-name request
On 27 August 2026, the FCA advised that it could not provide a favourable view on the proposed use of “EnteleBANK Ltd” at the planning stage. The FCA stated that a new request may be made during a future formal banking application so that any favourable name view can coincide with authorisation. This was a company-name decision only; no banking authorisation application was submitted or decided.
Customer protection
We do not state or imply that funds are currently protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), or that customers have access to regulatory protections that do not presently apply.
Development approach
The planned project is developing its governance, capital planning, risk management, financial-crime controls, cybersecurity, operational resilience and customer-outcome foundations. These planning activities do not constitute regulatory approval or operational readiness.
